The Schlumberger Foundation is an independent non-profit organization that supports education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). ​

​Recognizing the link between science, technology, and socio-economic development – as well as the key role of education in realizing individual potential – the Foundation has focused since its inception on funding a variety of scientific educational programs all over the world.​

​Faculty for the Future​

Since 2004 the Schlumberger Foundation’s flagship program has been Faculty for the Future. Committed to gender parity in science, the long-term goal of the program was to accelerate gender equality in STEM by creating the conditions that enable more women to pursue scientific careers. ​

By accelerating gender equality in STEM, the talent and capacities of these women can be developed for the benefit of their local communities, their regions, and for the wider world.​

Looking forward ​

Now to celebrate 70 years of the Foundation – and 20 years of the Faculty for the Future program – we’re setting ourselves an ambitious goal for the next 20 years: empowering women to harness the power of STEM to move the world’s economies along the path to net zero – developing a way forward that can balance both sustainable growth and gender equality.
