PhD Overview

This project combines satellite (GRACE), in-situ data to investigate long-term water storage changes and flood dynamics in West Africa. It aims to optimize GRACE-derived water storage estimates using existing hydrogeological and geophysical data, with a focus on sedimentary aquifers in the Niger River Basin. By linking large-scale hydrological trends with localized subsurface processes, the research supports more accurate water resource assessments and flood management strategies essential for sustainable development in the region.

Sustainability Goals

  • Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Climate Action
  • Sustainable Cities and Communities

About Me
