PhD Overview

My doctoral research at the University of Liège focuses on the valorization of integrated fish farming–market gardening systems in the Mbanza-Ngungu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This work is part of a sustainable development approach, aiming to address food, economic, and environmental challenges related to local aquaculture and agriculture. The overall objective is to assess the productivity and functioning of innovative integrated systems (aquaponics, flocponics) with a view to their optimal adaptation to local conditions.

Sustainability Goals

  • Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Sustainable Cities and Communities
  • Zero Hunger
